The SLA technology (StereoLitographic Apparatus)was the first technique developed. It is based on polymerization of a liquid by a laser. The first phase will prepare the final positioning of the work piece to be implemented on workstations and eventually generate supports. Subsequently, the laser focused on the work surface by means of optical systems, provides to polymerize the first section of the prototype. Subsequently, the floor is lowered and the process continues with the polymerization of the next layer. To reduce the construction time of the laser polymerizes only the external contours of the surface and connects with a honeycomb structure for which, at the end of construction, the piece is exposed to UV light by means of special lamps for a time sufficient to complete the polymerization.
